Australian Rules football has a long history in the Czech Republic with the formation of the Czech Lions in 2005. At its height, there were four teams in Prague, however currently the Prague Dragons are the only active Club. AFL Czechia  and the Prague Dragons are actively looking to engage and grow the sport again with efforts to promote awareness and participation through local events and international tournaments.
