Dipper launches the Grand Final Lunch!
Last Friday morning, the legend himself Robert DiPierdomenico walked through the doors of The Boundary SW6 and delivered some classic tales of footy in the 80s, his experience in the media and discussed the upcoming AFL Europe Grand Final Lunch in September.
A larger-than-life character, Dipper marked his territory early, remarking on his infamous punctured lung, humanitarian work in the Middle East and his recent evening at London’s West End, which was followed by a chorus from the Book of Mormon.
The significance of Dipper helping to launch the Grand Final Lunch is apparent, having played several games at the Kenny earlier in his career, which is why we are so excited to be hosting the 2025 GF Lunch at the Kia Oval again!
Dipper very kindly has decided to auction off his 1 of a kind Hawthorn FC centenary guernsey, recognising every VFL/AFL player of the past 100 years (Dipper is just tucked under the left armpit). Dipper has signed it (multiple times) and it will be auctioned off at the Grand Final Lunch on the 26th September 2025.
Joining the 1 of a kind guernsey are chances to win a signed Sherrin footy from Dipper. There are two ways to win, 1. Buy a table of 10 at our GF Lunch to get a GUARANTEED footy, OR buy a seat and be entered into the giveaway for one lucky winner to win a Dipper Sherrin!
We are so grateful to The Boundary SW6 for hosting us, and we hope to organise more events throughout the year to remain active in the local community and create a networking space for London-based Australians!
