Belfast Redbacks host ARFLI Carnival
On Saturday, Aussie Rules Football League Ireland (ARFLI) had four premiership teams descend on Belfast for the 4th carnival round so far this season. It was the Belfast Redback’s turn to host the Galway Magpies, South Dublin Swans, and the Leeside Lions.
The hosting Redbacks played matches against the South Dublin Swans and the Galway Magpies and managed to take away wins in both games.
Wildcats’ Nathan Costley hits AFL London milestone
Congratulations to Nathan Costley of the West London Wildcats who played his 100th game for the Cats this weekend. Nathan has been a huge contributor to the Wildcats since first joining 13 years ago, including:

AFL London kicked off again this weekend after all teams took a much deserved break last week. The results from the AFL London League Round 8 are as follows:

Women’s Conference:
West London Wildcats defeat the London Swans 47-2
Men’s Premiership:
Wandsworth Demons defeat the Wimbledon Hawks 78-36.

England Dragon Slayers announce Euro Cup 2017 Team

Lyon to host the AFL Lions Cup
The ALFA Lions have announced that they will be hosting the Lions Cup later this year. The Cup will be hosted at Lyon on the 30th of September and will welcome teams from England, Germany, France and Denmark on a quest to find the strongest Lions in Europe!
Umpire at Euro Cup 2017
AFL Europe is on the lookout for Umpires for our upcoming 2017 Euro Cup Tournament!
The Euro Cup takes place on October 7th in Bordeaux, and is a fantastic opportunity for new umpires to umpire alongside experienced AFL Europe Umpires.

AFL Austria celebrates 10th Anniversary
This weekend in Graz, the AFL teams in Austria celebrated their 10th Anniversary since the first Austrian AFL match was played. The anniversary festivities included a legend’s match with some of the founding players as well as a training match with the player’s children, and finally an extremely close game between the Downunderdogs and the Avalanches to close out a very special day for AFL Austria.
