ALFA Lions clinch victory in CNFA decider

The ALFA Lions won the CNFA 2016/17 title in a dominant display against last year’s champions, the Paris Cockatoos.

The season finale was played following the Stade Francais vs Racing 92 French Top 14 rugby game at Stade Jean-Bouin in Paris.

The Lions jumped out of the blocks early piling on 39-points to 4 in the first quarter. It was much of the same in the second term as the Lions took a 74-point lead going into the main break and kept the reigning premiers scoreless.

It was too little too late for the Cockatoos as a strong Lions outfit closed out the match 103 to 41.

Congratulations to everyone in the CNFA for another great season.

Commemoration Game Wrap

It was a huge weekend of footy down at Chiswick headlined by the 1916 Pioneers Exhibition commemoration game played between last year’s Grand Finalists, the West London Wildcats and Wandsworth Demons.

In what was a tight and physical match the Demons ran away with a 40-point victory. Full match report HERE.

Special thanks to Lizzie Kirkham and the two clubs for their amazing efforts making this game possible.
