STADE TOULOUSAIN REACH CNFA GRAND FINAL
In France, it was semi-finals time as the ALFA Lions took on Stade Toulousain for a place in the CNFA Grand Final. Stade Toulousain started the stronger of the two sides as they were in front at both quarter and half time. However, ALFA Lions pulled the game back in their favour as they led by 11 points to set up a thrilling final quarter. Both sides battled it out in sunny conditions, but it was Stade Toulousain who got over the line by just two points in a fantastic game of footy.

GIANTS RECORD FIRST WIN OF THE SEASON
Under warm, sunny skies, the South East London Giants hosted the West London Wildcats at Peckham on Saturday. Both teams exchanged scores early in a tight contest where the game was very much in the balance at half-time. In the third quarter, the Giants managed to lock the football in their forward half for most of the quarter but couldn’t manage to convert their possession into goals. In the last quarter, the Wildcats fought hard getting their ball into their forward-50 to create scoring opportunities, but it was the Giants who held on to the win by 19 points when the final siren went.

Women’s: South East London Giants (3.9.27) defeated West London Wildcats (1.2.8)
PARIS COCKERELS BEAT RIVALS IN SEMI-FINAL CLASH
The other CNFA semi-final saw two rivals face each other for a spot in the Grand Final. Just like the other CNFA semi-final, this was another close encounter as the Paris Cockerels managed to just edge past the Paris Cockatoos by 10 points in a tight and physical footy match. With three of the top four teams in the CNFA finishing on 22 points, and with this game seeing second play third, it looked like it would be an entertaining match and proved to be exactly that. The game was back and fourth most of the day, and despite the Cockatoos doing all they could late in the game, the Cockerels won to reach the Grand Final, hosted by Lyon, on the 15th of June.
Final Scores (CNFA)
Men’s: Paris Cockatoos (92) defeated by Paris Cockerels (102)
EDINBURGH WIN BRAGGING RIGHTS OVER GLASGOW
On Saturday, the Edinburgh Bloods took on the Glasgow Giants in a battle between the two Scottish cities. The Bloods were in control for the majority of the match as they recorded a large victory over the Giants by 86 points. Despite the scoreline, the Giants battled throughout the match on their home ground, but the class and strength of the Edinburgh side shone through as they were clinical in front of goal with the final score reading 156 to 70.
