Just yesterday AFL Europe launched the brand new Coaching Development Series.

The program aims to further educate coaches around Europe and is set to occur every Sunday over the next three months with guest speakers from Australia.

Special thanks to our Education Partner, anzuk Education for bringing this program to life.

In the first session, we were joined by over 100 coaches who were all ears for special guest speaker, Andrew Horsfield.

With footy in Ireland on track to return, the Leeside Lions have shared the announcement of their 2020 club captains via their Instagram.

Congratulations to the new co-captains of the Lions, Paul and James!

Both players have been members of the Irish Warriors development squad and look excited to lead the club once footy resumes.

Props to the Waterland Eagles for giving us this quick insight into one of their training’s.

In the video, coach Tyson helps a few of their local players understand the weight and motion of the Australian football when perfecting a handball.

All three players seem to pick it up straight away!

In Northern Ireland, the Belfast Redbacks have finally returned to training!

Just last Thursday the team held their first training since lockdown, and are already preparing to defend their All-Ireland crown in an attempt to go for three in a row.

The Redbacks have asked if any new players are interested in attending a session that they please contact their page first as there will be restrictions upon entering the ground in regards to coronavirus.

The sun was shining in France when the Lille Eagles held their training last week.

The team was recently allowed to return to training in accordance with the government’s guidelines.

The Eagles also recently featured in our ‘Newest Team in Town’ series as the newest team to join France. Take a read!
