2014 AFL Europe Grant Recipients
In 2014 we recorded the best response to the program so far with a high quality and number of applications. This is a fantastic measure of how the sport is growing in the European community.
The aim of the Grant Program is to provide clubs/leagues who are full or affiliated members of AFL Europe through their national bodies with funding under the Goal Post Grant (GPG) or Start-up Club Program (SCP).
The GPG hopes to increase visual presence of Australian Football in local communities as well as providing clubs with quality goal posts. It is with the GPG that we hope to be able to increase the professional image of our sport in Europe.
In terms of the SCP the primary goal is to provide resource assistance to start- up clubs across Europe. With the use of this funding we provide free resources to start-up clubs in Europe and hope to increase the number of new clubs across Europe each year.
